World Bank Implementation Support Mission: “National Water Resources Management Project, Phase 1” (NWRMP-1), “Agricultural Productivity and Nutrition Improvement Project” (APNIP)

Within the period from June 12 to 23, 2017, the 5th World Bank Implementation Support Mission for the “National Water Resources Management Project – Phase 1”, the Mission on continuation of preparation to the second phase of implementation of the “National Water Resources Management Project” and the 2^nd Mission on “Agricultural Productivity and Nutrition Improvement Project”. During the Mission, it is planned that the World Bank Mission will meet with members of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to identify a possible new investment project in the water/agriculture sector, funded through the International Development Association. The Mission for NWRMP will be conducted jointly with the specialists of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

The Mission includes: David Meerbach – Senior Water Resources Specialist; Wilfried Hundertmark is a Senior Irrigation Specialist, co-leader of the NWRMP group; Taalaibek Koshmatov – Senior Agricultural Specialist, co-leader of the APNIP group; Kunduz Masylkanova is an Agricultural Economist; Yekaterina Kucheryavenko – Economist, consultant; Steven Visser, Senior Water Resources Specialist, FAO; Alexey Slenzak is a Senior Environmental Specialist, remotely; Irina Goncharova – Procurement Specialist; Garik Sergeyan is a Financial Management Specialist, remotely; Ghazi al Kelani – Civil Engineer, consultant; Umit Ukaeva is an Agricultural Economist, consultant; and Esengul Akymbekova, Program Assistant, and Michael Haney, Manager of the World Bank Global Water Supply Practice.
