On February 25 this year, the manager of the health and nutrition program of the MSDSP KG Foundation, the Aga Khan Foundation’s initiative, Taalaigul Mamazhunusova, trained the activists of the APNIP project how to use the Salamat mobile application to inform the population. This application will help parents monitor the health of their children.

The Salamat application provides recommendation for parents on nutrition and childcare, guidance on mandatory vaccinations and child developmental norms, and other important health issues and possible health risks for children and adolescents.

In addition, this application contains special videos, tests, checklists with which parents can consolidate their knowledge. The application works both online and offline, and is available in Kyrgyz and Russian for mobile devices.

The management and team of the APNIP thanks the MSDSP KG Foundation and the Aga Khan Foundation’s initiative for the technical and consulting assistance provided and hopes that this application will help change the dietary behavior of the population, prevent various ailments in children and adolescents, as well as expand knowledge of childcare.
