Competition for the position: PIU deputy director

World Bank Project Implementation Unit under the Department of Water Resources and Land Improvement, financed by Global Agriculture and Food Security Program under the Agricultural Productivity and Nutrition Improvement Project, (Grant TF0A0645) and the National Water Resources Management Project, Phase 1 (NWRMP-1) (Grant TF 016315) announces a competition for the position: PIU DEPUTY DIRECTOR
In order to manage the Projects Implementation Unit (PIU) for “Agricultural Productivity and Nutrition Improvement Project” and “National Water Resources Management Project, Phase-1” (NWRMP-1), the Department of Water Resources and Land Improvement invites qualified candidates to participate in the competition for the position of PIU Deputy Director.
The candidates shall meet the following qualification requirements:

1. Education level: Master’s degree or equivalent in agriculture, water economy, agricultural economy, nutrition or relevant field;
2. At least 4 years of managerial experience (Director or Deputy Director) in agricultural and water/nutrition sectors;
3. More than 10 years of professional knowledge of agriculture, irrigated crops production and nutrition;
4. Demonstrated experience and skills of management, guidance and motivation of multidiscipline team of national and international consultants and stimulation of productive working climate;
5. Demonstrated experience of programs and projects fiduciary aspects management (procurement and financial management);
6. Demonstrated experience of negotiations with state authorities, high-ranked officials as well as with international agencies, consultants and non-governmental organizations;
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills in Kyrgyz and Russian languages are obligatory. Knowledge of English is an advantage. Computer literacy (MS Office, Windows, Outlook Express).

The selection of candidates for the competition is conducted in accordance with the “Guidelines for the selection and hiring of consultants by the World Bank Borrowers under the IBRD credits and IDA loans and grants”.
