Work of health workers in ayil aimaks of the APNIP project
The Agricultural Productivity and Nutrition Improvement Project (APNIP) under the State Water Resources Agency under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic expresses its sincere gratitude to the medical workers of the pilot ayil aimaks (AA) for the joint implementation of the Program of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the protection of public health and the development of the health system for 2019-2030 years “Healthy person – a prosperous country”, Food Security and Nutrition Programs in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2019-2023.
As health workers are contributing to strengthening country efforts to disseminate sustainable, highly effective practices and policies to improve nutrition and prevent anemia in women and children in the Kyrgyz Republic.
In order to support the efforts of the Government in this direction, the project held 32 seminars for primary health care workers on nutrition and anemia prevention programs, at which more than 600 health workers were trained, covering 24 FMCs, 88 FGPs, 132 FAPs of 58 pilot ayil aimaks of the Republic.
Currently, the APNIP continues to assist health workers of its target AAs to improve the quality of medical services at the level of FMCs, FGPs, FAPs on nutrition and prevention of anemia among children, adolescent girls, women of reproductive age, pregnant and lactating women.
But, due to the current situation in the country, at this time, all AA health workers in the field are combating coronavirus infection by informing the population on the prevention and protection against viral infection.
The situation with the coronavirus has shown the big and kind hearts of our people and, first of all, medical workers, their readiness for difficulties.
In this difficult time, not only for our country, but for the whole world, medical workers continue to work tirelessly for the good of society. Words of gratitude cannot fully appreciate their enormous contribution to the healthy future of our children.
