APNIP activists started using Salamat mobile application to inform the population

On May 19 of this year, Zhamilya Usupova, Deputy Director of The Republican Center for Health Promotion & Mass Communications (RCHPMC), presented a new mobile application on family health “Salamat” for oblast coordinators and activists-mobilizers of the pilot AA under APNIP in the online videoconference mode. This application will help parents keep track of the nutrition and preventive activities of their children.

The Salamat application provides recommendation for parents on nutrition and childcare, guidance on mandatory vaccinations and child developmental norms, and other important health issues and possible health risks for children and adolescents.

In addition, this application contains special videos, tests, checklists with which parents can consolidate their knowledge. The application works both online and offline, and is available in Kyrgyz and Russian for mobile devices.

The management and team of the APNIP thanks the Republican Center for Health Promotion & Mass Communications (RCHPMC) and the MSDSP KG Foundation for the technical and consulting assistance provided and hopes that this application will help change the dietary behavior of the population, prevent various ailments in children and adolescents, as well as expand knowledge of childcare.
